About Tavis Boise
Gravity always wins\". That is what my old astronomy professor used to say. It is such a practical and elegant phrase and it came to define a lot of who I am today. In those early years of college I was on a hunt to find the place where markets and the environment connect and create solutions.\"Gravity always wins\", was a way of letting us know that no matter the effort, the complexity, the politics, the GDP and all of the other made up human machinations, gravity would outlive, outlast and overpower all that we create. In that there is a key takeaway: the natural world has power that we cannot comprehend, nor fight against. It became somewhat of a north star for me - respect, restore and align with nature and maybe we can avoid its omnipresent force a little while longer. Here we are, 12 years later and whole lot of searching I have found arrived at the place where markets, money and environmental problems intersect. I love what I do for a number of reasons, but the two most important are: 1. Divesting from fossil fuels and reinvesting into climate solutions has systemic power and being able to scale change is so very important! The retirement plans we align with sustainable options helps to serve the values and the personal missions of the people who work at these incredible organizations.
