ABOUT TAUSIF E ELAHI
I am currently a PhD student in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, working under the supervision of Prof. Nishant Garg. My research focuses on the microstructural characterization of cementitious materials using electron microscopy and investigating the relationships between microstructure and performance in cement-based systems.Prior to joining University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, I completed my BSc and MSc in Civil Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, where I later served as a Lecturer from 2019 to 2022. I am deeply interested in pursuing an academic career that integrates both research and teaching, with a particular focus on advancing the understanding of construction materials while contributing to the education and mentorship of future engineers.
