Performs and oversees maintenance of facility to keep the facility servicable, clean and in safe order for daily operations and to ensure the safety of our staff and customers. • Communicates with department administration, County employees, sports associations, the public, and other individuals and organizations as needed to coordinate work activities, review status of work, exchange information, or resolve problems; participates in various committees; attends meetings; and provides information and input regarding facility and program activities, services, and needs. • Coordinates and performs public relations for assigned facility, program, or event: provides information and answers questions; develops brochures, flyers, newsletters, calendars, and news releases; promotes facility, program, or event to civic groups, community organization, schools, the public or other individuals and groups; and prepares and makes presentations regarding services and activities offered; promotes program and facility on county website and social media outlets. • Coordinates facility and grounds use: maintains master calendar; schedules facility rentals; prepares for scheduled events; sets-up meeting rooms; decorates for special events; and maintains related documentation. • Plans, implements, and coordinates diversified, specialized recreation and sports programs and for assigned facilities: develops program services and activities; schedules classes, leagues, events and programs; reserves facilities and schedules grounds use; coordinates and supervises instructors, staff, and volunteers; provides information and direction as needed; processes participant registrations; and manages programs in accordance with local, state and federal guidelines. • Supervises, directs, and evaluates assigned staff, processing employee concerns and problems, directing work, counseling, disciplining, and completing employee performance appraisals.
