ABOUT TATSIANA KOSCIUK

Innovative biochemist and cell biologist with over a decade of experience in scientific discovery focused on developing therapeutics through understanding their molecular mechanisms of action and normal tissue toxicity. Broadly knowledgeable in cellular pathways underlying healthy and diseased states and their scientific interrogation with numerous methodologies encompassing mouse models, cell-based, biochemical, and analytical methods. Track record of excellence in scientific contribution, problem-solving, project leadership, collaboration and mentorship demonstrated by impactful lead author and co-author publications, successful grant applications, awards, implementation of innovative impactful methodologies, lead optimization resulting in its progression into the clinic, and trainees’ success. Committed to contributing to human health through rigorous, innovative, relentless, and impactful pursuit of scientific knowledge in a team setting.Avid learner with a broad understanding of scientific principles at the interface of chemistry and biology and a diverse technical skill set that enables the design of efficient and effective problem-solving approaches. Technical knowledge includes mammalian cell-based assays, mouse models, immunoassays (immunohistochemistry, ELISA, flow cytometry and Western blot), confocal microscopy, chemical biology, molecular biology, protein expression and purification, and analytical methods such as HPLC, LC-MS, MFI and CGE. Academic training includes an NSF and SUNY fellowships funded Doctor of Philosophy degree in Biochemistry with a minor in Molecular Cell Biology from Cornell University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry with a minor in Biology from the University of Southern Maine, as well as additional valuable experiences at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard Medical School.
