ABOUT TATIANA S.

As a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) in British Columbia, a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) in Ontario, a Registered Counselling Therapist (RCT) in Nova Scotia, a Certified Canadian Counsellor C.C.C, a Certified Psychedelic-Assisted Therapist (CIIS), I have over fourteen years of experience in providing compassionate and evidence-based trauma therapy, and mental health care to diverse populations. I mainly work with people who have experienced trauma and those who struggle with depression, ADHD, and substance use disorders. I am interested in research using drug-assisted therapies, such as Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), MDMA and Psilocybin-Assisted Therapies. I have been working extensively as a Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapist, where I collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of pain specialists, psychiatrists, anesthesiologists, physicians, nurses, and pharmacists to offer holistic and personalized depression and chronic pain management solutions to patients. I have also taught and supervised Master of Counselling students at the City University of Seattle (Vancouver Campus) during their clinical internship. I also taught group therapy, psychology of loss and grief, and clinical supervision. In addition, I am a Doctoral Student in Counselling and Psychotherapy, where I am pursuing in-depth clinical and research interests in the effectiveness and potential benefits of ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, necessary training guidelines and requirements for drug-assisted therapies for the treatment of PTSD and substance use disorders. My mission is to promote healing, growth, and transformation for individuals and communities by integrating somatic, psychological, and spiritual approaches. I am passionate about advancing the field of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy and research, and I am eager to learn from and contribute to the emerging knowledge and practice in this area. I am also committed to enhancing my own professional development and ethical standards, as well as mentoring and supporting the next generation of counsellors and psychotherapists in the safe, effective, and ethical use of ketamine and other drug-assisted therapy options.
