About Tate Bennett
Accounting is my profession, and life-long learning is my passion. I have been blest with many recent opportunities to learn through experience. As I gain more knowledge through my experiences, I hope to become a professional who can add substantial value to an organization wherever I go. Last year, I had the chance to work as a Research Assistant to the Donald McLean Wilkinson Research Chair in Business Administration at the Darden School of Business. I conducted market research and used financial analysis to write a case that was taught to MBA students last fall! Before this role at the University of Virginia, I taught my own section of a university level Portuguese class at Brigham Young University. I worked with my supervisor and my students to resolve issues with the online platform used to administer the class. I even organized and wrote my own lesson plans for most class periods. I am also a first year master’s student studying accounting at the BYU Marriott School of Business!
