Corporate promotions. Successful startup. From the outside, it all looked like freedom.But I was numb to what was really driving me: Fear. Fear of losing approval. Fear of not being enough.The world is loud about where your value comes from. It tells you your identity is tied to- what you do- what you’ve accomplished- what others say about youEmployers tell you your worth through a comp plan. Teammates measure your value by how you perform v. how they perform. Even religion often tells you your standing depends on how well you follow the rules.But here’s the truth: none of those things determine your value. Those things can change overnight. They can be earned and lost. Your greatest gift is your identity!Identity is something that can’t be taken away and doesn’t shift with circumstance. I used to get my identity from what I did (basketball player, owner, etc)Now I bring my identity into every room I occupy and I take it with me when I leave. True identity passes 2 tests:1. It cannot be earned or lost.2. It’s specific to you and only you.Here’s another truth: you can have it all!The proverbial ride off into the sunset is a real thing.There is real freedom in the demanding arenas of work, relationships, parenting, etc.That’s what I do now: help people uncover their true identity so they can live fully alive and free.So if you’re tired of just…trying harder, or trying new hacks…DM me.
