ABOUT TASHI SHULER-DRAKES

As a Community Engagement Specialist at Sparkler, I lead on-site training and local outreach for the team and offer direct, expert support to families and communities related to child development, monitoring, promotion, and how to use Sparkler\'s mobile app to spark healthy early childhood development. I have been in this role for eight months, and I am passionate about empowering parents and caregivers as first teachers and helping systems serve families better, together.I also bring over three years of experience in community engagement and parent leadership to my current position. I am a Parent Ambassador for United Way of Coastal and Western CT, where I work with local agencies to create best practices for community engagement frameworks and advocate for parent voice in local initiatives. I am trained in Restorative Practices, School Climate, Results-Based Facilitation, and Mandated Reporting, and I have a history of working in the individual and family services industry and with non-profits. I hold a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Sociology and Psychology from Mount Holyoke College, where I published a research paper on the LEAP Symposium in 2014.
