About Tashane Boothe-Lordon
My career interests lie at the intersection of Economic Geology and Environmental Geochemistry, with a specific focus on mine waste management, environmental remediation, unconventional and low-grade ore systems, geochemical modeling, and mineral explorationI am currently pursuing a Ph.D. at the University of Pittsburgh, where my research broadly focuses on acid mine drainage geocchemistry (AMD) and the recovery of critical metals such as rare earth elements (REEs), cobalt (Co), and manganese (Mn) in Mn and aluminum (Al) dominant AMD dominant systems. Previously, I completed a Master\'s degree at the University of the West Indies, Mona (Jamaica), where I studied mineral deposits, with an emphasis on the geochemistry and mineralogy of calcic iron skarns.
