About Terri Ann Shambach

I’m a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt who genuinely loves helping teams work smarter, communicate better, and feel proud of the work they do. For over 30 years, I’ve supported military medicine and government organizations through change — guiding leaders and teams as they improve patient safety, streamline processes, and create systems that actually serve the people working inside them. I currently serve as the Quality & High Reliability / Improvement Sciences Program Director for Navy Medicine, where I’ve led regional improvement efforts across 19 medical commands, trained and coached thousands of Lean Six Sigma practitioners, and supported more than improvement projects that reduced cost, improved readiness, and strengthened patient care. My approach is practical, collaborative, and grounded in real human connection. I believe:People do their best work when they feel heard.Improvement is most successful when it’s simple and repeatable. And change is something we do with people — not to them.I specialize in:Facilitating process improvement projects (small or enterprise-wide)Coaching leaders and teams through changeStrategic planning & execution supportLean Six Sigma training, workshops & mentoringProject portfolio setup, tracking & sustainmentHigh Reliability & “Get Real Get Better” culture alignmentWhether I’m working with executives, clinical teams, or brand-new Yellow Belts, my goal is always the same: help people make their work easier, safer, and more meaningful.
