About Tasha Bianchi-MacAraig

Currently, Tasha Bianchi-Macaraig is a Licensed Master in Social Work currently employed in CAMBA as a Director of Social Services. As the Director, she works with direct reporting staff to set realistic weekly and monthly performance targets in accordance with contract requirements. She also implements quality assurance measures to ensure quality service delivery to clients.She began her journey of social justice in her undergrad schooling and quickly turned it into a career. Her previous employment was at Safe Horizon acting as a Senior Case Manager. There, she was a member of several committees such as the Anti-Racist Steering Committee, Shelter Rules Work Group, and became a certified Risking Connection trainer.She strongly believes in disrupting the cycle of poverty and violence by fighting against systemic oppressions and acting as an advocate for the disenfranchised. She also recognizes the importance of providing resources, support, and psycho-education to communities so as to create a space for empowerment.
