ABOUT TASHA N.
Over 10 years of experience working in the mining industry in environmental management roles. While working in heavy industry, I have had the opportunity to engage with various types of media. This includes permitting and compliance relating to air quality, mine reclamation, waste management, water/NPDES/stormwater, water appropriations, SPCC, wetlands, and ISO14001. I’ve had the privilege to interact with the local community in many ways. Throughout my time in my current community, I’ve been able to direct & teach the Sunday School program at a local church; provided hands-on assistance for United Way to pack Buddy Backpacks and fill/place sandbags for local flooding; and taught multiple science & environmental-focused classes with programs including Range Engineering Council’s Engineering Cool, the Iron Range Science and Engineering Festival and the Hibbing STEM event. Since 2021, I’ve also been engaged with the Hibbing Chamber of Commerce Board as a Board Member and am currently serving as Board Chair for 2024.
