About Tarunya Rao Sudarshan

I am a Chemical engineer with 3 years of work experience at ExxonMobil. Currently, I am a grad student at Georgia tech, Atlanta pursuing a PhD in Chemical Engineering. I am enthusiastic about integrating statistics into traditional science, to identify patterns and draw conclusions on faulty systems and optimization efforts. During my time at ExxonMobil, I have had my learning curve with troubleshooting downtime incidents, Root cause failure analysis using statistical techniques, and multiple prediction studies for oil production.At Georgia tech, I branched out to apply a mishmash of problem solving techniques to an applied field. I currently am a part of Paravastu Lab at Georgia tech. We focus on understanding nanoscale assembly of peptides as it pertains to design of biomaterials and protein aggregation diseases (Alzheimer\'s). I\'m working on refining and learning NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance), peptide synthesis, and HPLC.
