ABOUT TARUNPREET KOUR
I’m an alumna of New York University – Steinhardt School, with a strong foundation in Occupational Therapy and extensive experience working with spinal cord injury patients at the Department of Rehabilitation, Indian Spinal Injuries Centre, Vasant Kunj — the largest rehabilitation setup in South Asia. My early work focused on functional recovery, emotional resilience, and patient engagement, giving me a deep understanding of human behavior, empathy, and structured intervention.Building on this clinical expertise, I now lead the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and Strategic Wellness portfolio at HFCL, under the HFCL CARES framework (Community, Awareness, Recreation, Engagement & Support). My work focuses on creating emotionally safe, engaged, and thriving workplaces through integrated health & wellness, mental well-being, employee engagement, and DEI initiatives. I’ve also driven the integration of wellness strategies into the organization’s ESG/BRSR commitments, ensuring employee well-being remains a core business priority. In addition to wellness, I play a strategic role in Learning & Development, contributing to leadership development programs, competency frameworks, and behavior-based learning journeys across business units. I also serve as a trainer and facilitator, delivering learning interventions focused on building leadership competencies across levels. Collaborating closely with senior leadership and HRBPs, I help align well-being and learning strategies with organizational culture and long-term growth.I’m also a Future Women Leaders (FWL) Program – Class of 2023 participant and have led a strategic Lean Manufacturing project in Optical Fibre and OFC plants, demonstrating my ability to work across domains and deliver measurable impact. My journey blends clinical insight, strategic HR, and data-driven execution — all anchored in the belief that empowered, emotionally resilient employees are at the heart of sustainable organizational success.
