Acting as the key interface between Wills Bros, external design consultants, and clients to resolve design-related challenges, ensuring alignment with contractual and technical requirements.• Coordinating and managing the delivery of design activities across multiple infrastructure and renewable energy projects across UK, supporting both in-house drafting teams and external consultants to develop efficient and compliant design solutions.• Applying a strong working knowledge of British and European design standards to support the development of earthworks, pavements, drainage systems, and other civil infrastructure components.• Contributing to both construction and tender phases by interpreting ground conditions, reviewing specimen designs, and proposing practical enhancements that improve cost-efficiency and environmental sustainability.• Supervising ground investigations, interpreting geotechnical data, and providing recommendations that inform design decisions and material classifications, ensuring compliance with relevant specifications.• Proposing value engineering solutions to optimise design efficiency, reduce construction costs, and enhance environmental sustainability across various project phases.• Prepare and manage surface water management strategies in line with environmental regulations, including water quality assessments, reporting, and permit applications.• Overseeing design submissions, raise and review technical queries, and coordinate as-built information while contributing to the Health and Safety File to ensure compliance with contract specifications and thorough documentation.
