I serve as a Team Leader creating regional, national, and institutional development plans, strategies, and programs. I am also the lead technical expert in public health governance, policy, financing, and systems strengthening. I focus on increasing efficiencies and achieving results through organizational/functional reviews and change management-Led design of USAID’s five-year programs for Kenya: Nutrition and HIV/AIDS; Health Service Delivery; Health Policy, Financing & Private Sector; Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E); Health Management Information Systems (HMIS). Malawi: Community Care HIV/AIDS; Orphans & Vulnerable Children. Rwanda: Health Systems Strengthening-Led ministerial leadership teams in partnership with the Minister of Health to refine strategic directions for the Afghanistan health sector-Defined strategic approaches for key policies & strategies to achieve results -Drew-up proposal for the annual health ceiling component under a multi-donor health SWAP - Revised Ministry’s organizational structure & staffing plan for greater efficiency and results -Coordinated design & development of the Afghanistan National Health Strategy 20••••20 -Strengthened relations between the new USAID/Afghanistan and Ministry leaderships -Fostered progress on USAID’s development objectives working closely with the USAID Mission and the Health Office Directors -Led evaluation of AfyaInfo in Kenya (flagship project for National HMIS). Redesigned the M&E strategy to include multi-year results-based PMP -Evaluated Namibia HIS and designed institutional development plan to foster reform -Developed a country led action plan to strengthen Nigeria HMIS -Conducted Health Private Sector Engagement Assessment and formulated strategies for Rwandan health sector to sustain and expand achievements -Evaluated performance of Strengthening the Capacity of the Health Sector to Deliver Quality Health Services (SCHS) project in Rwanda and provided strategies for sustainability.
