Cut outsourcing costs by $80K+ per month through in-house repair for high-precision vacuum valves (throttle, CKD) from Diffusion area tools, improving uptime and reducing vendor reliance. Designed and piloted a high‑frequency induction welding process for copper chiller‑pipe repairs; led evaluation of 10+ global suppliers, completed welding trials, and secured EHS/SMOC/PSSR approvals; validated technique is suitable for in‑fab repairs and projected to cut external repair turnaround from ~15 days to <1 day once deployed. Established a 3D scanning and metal AM (additive manufacturing) vendor ecosystem; coordinated reverse engineering of a spin‑chuck sample part, introduced in‑house PLA prototyping to reduce metal AM iterations and turnaround time.
