ABOUT TARIQ MUGHAL
Tariq Mughal joined the ROSS School of Business in 2018 and is teaching courses related to decision sciences, OM, Project Management and VBA for the MBAs. During the prior year he served as a visiting faculty in the department of Supply Chain and Information Systems at Penn State where he taught the core OM/SCM classes and worked with the campus community to develop an online SCM course for undergrads.During the previous academic year professor Mughal served as a visiting professor in the Departmentof Management at Bucknell University He taught business analyticscourses which incorporated topics such as data analysis, basic and advanced statistical modeling,Monte Carlo simulations, and spreadsheet modeling & optimization techniques. He also served as amentor to First Gen students and was a sideline coach for the track and field team.Prior to this and for the last twelve years he served as an Assistant Professor (and Lecturer) at theDavid Eccles School of Business (DESB) at the University of Utah He wasthe program director of an UG program in Operations Management and started a complete immersion study abroad program with the University of Applied Sciences in Pforzheim Germany. In this program students also completed internships in Germany after doing a semester of course work.Specialties: Management Science, Operations, Supply Chain Management, Business AnalyticsHe loves traveling, hiking, biking, catching Salmon in Alaska and occasionally dabbles in politics.
