Tarik Bateh has over 20 years of experience in real estate investment, development, operations, and law; encompassing over $3 billion in capital investment across all major property types, with a specialization in multifamily.As Managing Partner of Bateh Perry Real Estate Investors, Tarik focuses on finding, capitalizing, and executing new investments, along with managing the daily business of the company.Prior to forming the company with Jason Perry, Tarik spent nearly a decade with JLL Capital Markets where he advised institutional, public, and private owners on joint venture and preferred equity raises, debt and structured finance, investment sales, and strategic consulting projects throughout Florida and nationally. Prior to JLL, Tarik was a principal of Hardin Construction Company’s development affiliate where he led all investments, financings, and asset management; and Director of Project Development with Barry Real Estate Companies, both in Atlanta, Georgia. Tarik began his career as an attorney with Rogers Towers, P.A. in Jacksonville, Florida specializing in land use, government relations, and real estate law.Tarik holds a Bachelor of Science with Special Attainments in Commerce from Washington & Lee University and both a Juris Doctor and a Master of Science in Real Estate & Urban Analysis from the University of Florida. He is actively involved with the Urban Land Institute (ULI) nationally, regionally and locally, including terms on the national Urban Development & Mixed Use Council (Silver Flight), chair of the Florida Multifamily Development Council, and District Council Chair for ULI North Florida and its 500+ members. He was previously named as a “40 Under 40” leader by the Jacksonville Business Journal and Member of the Year by ULI North Florida. Tarik volunteers as a mentor to students in Washington & Lee University’s Commerce School and on the Finance Council for Assumption Catholic Church.
