ABOUT TAREZ LEMMONS
Hello, My name is Tarez Prentice Lemmons II. I (along mentor Dr. Orlando Espin) am the author of the research known as \"Black Religion, White Jesus\"(pending release and publication) which was a theological conversation regarding \"how images of a white Jesus have problematized blackness\" within the United States of America. This was a research I was blessed to pursue with the McNair Scholars Program for about 2 years. I have also pursued several avenues of student (and overall) activism within my lifetime, fully believing in the powers of democracy and equality (and also equity). I am formally trained in the art of spoken word, having performed with the San Diego Slam team in 2014 (placing 5th in the world). While in pursuit of my Masters of Theology (Claremont School of Theology), and the eventual PhD in the same, my goals in life orbit liberation; the liberation of others and myself. I am concerned with the pursuit of peace, love, and joy. I bring my desire for those virtues into all things I invest myself in. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance.
