Direct the development of the quality standards of all functions and services ofthe Pharmacy Department and associated programs and confirm operationalimplementation. Ensure all goals and objectives specified for the Pharmacy Department andprograms are successfully accomplished to the highest service level possible andin accordance with the established priorities, budgets, and outcomes. Conduct the integration of Continuous Quality Improvement principles into theoperations of the Pharmacy Department, through measurement, monitoring, andassessment of pharmacy processes and outcomes. Conduct and supervise the planning, coordination and operation of all pharmacylocations, services, and activities of the Pharmacy Department and associatedservice programs. Support the administrative collaboration between medical, behavioral health,outreach, and support staff with administrative and service departments. Administer pharmacy operational compliance with 340B Drug Pricing Programregulations, standards, and laws; as well as any standards and requirements forthird party funding sources. Maintain Pharmacy Department compliance with all Federal and State laws andrules governing pharmacy operations and controlled substance inventories,distribution, and records management. Administer the implementation of safeguards that ensure the organization remainsaware of and in compliance with State Board of Pharmacy regulatory rules andregulations, and accrediting agencies; that organizational or departmental policiesand procedures are being followed. Monitor and supervise the pharmaceutical purchasing program. Participate in the consultation with Executive Leadership on identification ofinternal/external funding sources supporting sustainment of pharmacy services ordefined strategic service and programmatic goals. Participate in the development and maintenance of pharmacy and clinic policiesand procedures. Participate in the long and short-term strategic planning development and I amresponsible for implementation for the Pharmacy Department. Implement and evaluate strategic program goals and objectives, policies, andprocedures; effectively interpreting and implementing policies, procedures, andbest practices ensuring successful pharmaceutical patient care, service deliveryand/or outcomes.
