About Taranga Dutta
I am a Cybersecurity and Digital Safety Researcher from India, working at the intersection of technology, youth empowerment, and education policy. My work focuses on identifying emerging digital threats, promoting responsible technology use, and strengthening cyber resilience within student and educational communities.Over the past four years, I have been actively involved in cybercrime research, online threat analysis, and digital awareness initiatives. My contributions include supporting the identification and disruption of large-scale fraudulent and malicious online activity, as well as conducting capacity-building sessions on digital safety and ethical technology practices.I currently serve as the Head of Research & Development at BEFOJJI OPSEC, where I lead applied research into evolving cyber risks and coordinate youth-focused learning initiatives. I am also the Director of Education to the Indian Cyber Students Union, a platform dedicated to empowering young individuals with ethical, responsible, and future-ready digital skills. In addition, I have supported educational reform efforts through my work as a Cybersecurity Instructor under India’s National Education Policy framework.I am particularly interested in the role of cybersecurity in shaping resilient education systems, digital rights, and youth policy. My objective is to collaborate with international organizations, research institutions, and policy platforms that are committed to building safer, more inclusive, and digitally secure societies.
