At SABIC, I played a key role in the digital transformation of their Olefins manufacturing operations by designing and deploying advanced machine learning and deep learning solutions for process optimization, emissions forecasting, and energy efficiency. My work spanned multiple AI-driven initiatives focused on operational excellence, environmental compliance, and cost savings. Key Contributions:Developed NOx emission forecasting models for Furnace-6 to provide early alerts on emission violations, enabling real-time decision-making for regulatory compliance.Designed Run-Length Forecasting Models to estimate remaining furnace operational days before decoking, enabling proactive maintenance planning and maximizing uptime.Implemented Live Benchmarking & Run-Length Optimizer (LBT-RLO) models to compare live furnace data against historical best runs, supporting severity tuning and energy minimization strategies.Contributed to the CoilSim-based Soft Sensor Models for critical parameters like Coil Outlet Pressure (COP), allowing accurate predictions in the absence of calibrated field sensors.Played a pivotal role in data modeling architecture, integrating tags across process, energy, and environmental categories to fuel actionable insights and plant-wide optimization.Collaborated with plant engineers and leadership teams to ensure that ML outputs were actionable, interpretable, and aligned with business KPIs.This project was part of SABIC’s larger \"Digital Solutions for Plant Efficiency Improvement & Energy Optimization\" initiative.
