About Taran Kumar
Highly motivated young student pursuing economics and music. My interests bridge music, sports, event management, and social impact initiatives. My formative years were spent in Dubai, where I had the privilege of attending prestigious institutions like Repton School and Dubai College. I am the founder of \"Jugalbandish\"(https://jugalbandish.com/). It is an annual battle of the bands platform that has already raised INR for the Lotus Petal Foundation Charity. This initiative earned the prestigious IB Global Youth Action Fund 2024, demonstrating my ability to drive positive change through music. Outside academics, I am passionate about music and sports : 1. Musical Accomplishments: I\'m a skilled electric guitarist (Grade 8 with Distinction from Rockschool) and our band - Purgatory has won several awards and even performed at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium audience). Sports : As Football Team Captain, I led the school team in District Competitions, ISSO Nationals, and the Subroto Cup, fostering teamwork and sportsmanship. In Karate, I also hold an International Black Belt 1st Dan and a Federation Black Belt 2nd Dan, along with national championship medals.
