ABOUT TARA MORTENSEN
I am an educator in all things visual communication and a researcher of the evolving photojournalism profession and its implications on viewers. My recent scholarship examines consumers\' perceptions of non-professional photojournalism (i.e. stock photography, user photography, and AI-generated photography) in news contexts, using self-report measures and biometrics. I hold a Ph.D. from the University of Oklahoma, an M.S. in journalism, and a B.S. in multimedia. I\'ve published in top academic journals, including The Journal of Mass Media Ethics, Journalism Practice, and Visual Communication Quarterly. I have presented my research at major international, national, and regional communication and journalism conferences.
