I am a multi-award-winning author of seven books. I am also a speaker, business consultant and publisher, as well as the host of the Publish with Purpose virtual summit and the Art of Self-Editing Challenge. I am also a self-proclaimed recovering serial entrepreneur.Although I\'ve started many businesses during my career, my favorite by far is Emerald Lake Books, which I co-own with my best friend, Mark Gerber. Our boutique publishing company provides a unique blend of business coaching with publishing to help its authors succeed, whether it’s their first book or their fiftieth! Emerald Lake Books specializes in working with positive people who have an engaging, exciting or entertaining message to share with the world. Using a unique, goal-oriented approach to publishing, I combine my business and publishing knowledge to help our authors set and attain goals for their readers, their brands and their books.My award-winning book,\"Publish with Purpose\"(April 2019), reveals the unique process we developed to help our authors set and attain their own goals. 1. Host of the Publish with Purpose Virtual Summit

   Emerald Lake Books held the first Publish with Purpose virtual summit in October 2019 as an extension of the release of my book by the same name earlier that year. The book shares our goal-oriented framework for publishing success, which entails identifying your reader\'s goal for reading the book, your goal for writing the book, and your goal for the book\'s overall impact. The topics we chose for the summit all tie back to helping attendees achieve one of those three goals.At the time, we didn\'t know it would turn out to be as impactful as it was to ourselves and to those Emerald Lake Books serves. But when we resurrected the summit to hold our second one in October 2021, the feedback we got was amazing, from both the attendees and the speakers.Our third summit is being held October 10-15, 2022, and it just keeps getting better! I love being able to connect with other authors and publishers in conversational and engaging interviews that help us all learn how to build our platforms and sell more books.
