ABOUT TARA ADAMS
Tara Adams is the founder and owner of Abridge Consulting Inc. “I founded Abridge based on a simple, but not easy, goal - to get more people, more help, sooner. I believe we can all learn how to be a bridge between people who need help and getting them the support, they need and deserve.” Abridge clients are organizations and teams who are ready to invest in their people, culture, and bottom line. Participants are encouraged to build mental health skills in four key areas – selfcare, peer support, how and when to access professional care, and suicide awareness. Tara spent several years as a Corporate Wellness Manager where she championed workplace mental health and employee total health for employees by building enterprise-wide strategies for mental, physical, emotional, and financial wellness. The results of her workplace mental health training program were closely measured and outperformed similar organizations across Canada positioning her as an industry leader in workplace mental health. Since launching Abridge in 2020, Tara has designed and delivered 30 courses based on clients’ needs and requests. The most popular trainings are the Employee and Leader Workplace Suicide Awareness courses that have also been delivered as train-the-trainer programs.Tara describes herself as a relatable role model who invests in her mental, physical, and sleep health while knowing that there is always room for improvement. Tara is a busy working mom of two based in Calgary, is a semi-competitive tennis player and has big plans to conquer the amateur master’s tennis tour someday.Specialties:• Workplace Wellbeing• Workplace Mental Health • Workplace Suicide Awareness• Consulting, public speaking, facilitation, emcee
