ABOUT TARA SWEENEY
Tara M. Sweeney received her Baccalaureate of Social Sciences (Honours) from the University of Ottawa in 1994. In 1995, she received a Master of Arts from the University of Western Ontario and, in 1998, Tara received her LLB from the University of Windsor. Tara is a recipient of the Paroain, Raphael, Courey, Cohen & Houston Insurance Law award (University of Windsor) and the Nelligan Power Trial Advocacy Award (University of Ottawa). She articled with Soloway, Wright and joined the firm upon her call to the bar in Tara became a partner with Soloway Wright in 2007. Tara‘s practice is restricted to Civil Litigation with an emphasis on personal injury, insurance defence, medical malpractice, health law, estate litigation and commercial litigation. Tara is a member of the County of Carleton Law Association, Advocate‘s Society, and is past secretary/treasurer of the Medical Legal Society of Ottawa-Carleton, past member of the Lawyer Play Committee, and past board member of Epilepsy Ottawa-Carleton. Tara has presented at Continuing Legal Education seminars for the Advocate‘s Society, the CBA, the LSO (formerly LSUC) and the CCLA. Tara is also a past Board Member with Advocate\'s Society, having served from 20••••20.
