About Tara Marrale
I\'ve spent my career doing one thing in different contexts: taking something extraordinary and helping the world see it. At Fitbit, that meant taking a product nobody had heard of and bringing it to 64 countries. I was early — before the IPO, before the brand was a household name — and led the international expansion that helped turn a San Francisco startup into a global consumer electronics company. At Grooted, a sustainability consulting firm I co-founded, it meant helping developers and building owners create spaces that are genuinely healthier for the people inside them. I\'m a WELL AP and LEED GA — the technical credibility matters, but the work is really about the belief that the buildings we live and work in should make us well, not sick. Now, at The Vito Giallo Collection, it\'s the most personal chapter yet. I manage the brand, business, and legacy of Vito Giallo — a 90-something-year-old former Warhol assistant and legendary NYC antiques dealer. I brokered the Catbird × Vito\'s Gems jewelry collaboration (featured in The New York Times, Vogue, and W Magazine), helped bring his memoir to life, and manage sales through Sotheby\'s and 1stDibs. It\'s equal parts brand strategy, storytelling, and preservation of a disappearing New York. The thread across all of it: I build things that matter, with people who care, in spaces where commerce and purpose overlap. Open to connecting on luxury brand strategy, sustainability in the built environment, legacy and heritage brands, or anything at the intersection of business and culture.

Started Grooted to answer a simple question: why are we spending 90% of our time in buildings that make us sick? We\'re a sustainability consulting firm that helps developers, property owners, and architects create healthier spaces through LEED, WELL, and Living Future certifications. Our work spans new construction, renovations, and existing buildings — with a focus on making wellness and sustainability practical, not performative.Certified WELL AP and LEED Green Associate.
