About Tara Edwards

As a member of Cherry Bekaert\'s Executive Leadership Team, I lead the Firm’s Business Transformation Office. This includes strategy, execution and change management of transformation within Cherry Bekaert in regards to process, global resources, automation, technology and AI. In this role, I collaborate with the Firm\'s service lines to improve processes through the implementation of technology, centralized functions and standardized tools. I am an accomplished leader when it comes to workflow, resource management and process improvement. Since 1998, I have provided audit and consulting assistance to clients of all sizes in a variety of industries, with an emphasis on internal controls, fraud prevention and compliance. I have worked with various public companies in implementing and maintaining Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. I have also provided risk assessment and internal control advisory services to various non-public companies and governmental units. As a member of the Firm\'s government contracting industry group, I\'ve assisted clients with accounting issues related to their federal contracts and grants as well as preparation of incurred cost submissions, assistance with AASHTO audits and DOE compliance audits. I am a licensed CPA in North Carolina and Virginia. I am a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the North Carolina Association of CPAs. I am also a Prosci Certified Change Professional.
