   Serve as the primary point of contact for the statewide Apprenticeship program. Develop and manage Apprenticeship programs, working with apprenticeship sponsors, local education agencies, and oversight bodies such as the Texas Workforce Investment Council (TWIC) and Apprentice Training Advisory Committee (ATAC).Develop plans, policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines for employment and training programs, understanding service integration concepts. Develop recommendations and justification for changes in policies, procedures, rules or program guidelines. Serve on Apprenticeship committees and/or task forces within the department, TWC and/or other state agencies. Serve as subject matter expert on Apprenticeship as appropriate and may assist in RFP development.Analyze existing or proposed federal or state legislation/statutes/regulations to provide written recommendation on: impact to program operations and management, program policy changes, automation changes, and other processes necessary to successfully operate employment and training programs.
