Tara Brickell leads CherryArts as Executive Director and CEO, overseeing all program areas and initiatives. CherryArts is a non-profit organization committed to providing access to art experiences and supporting arts education in Colorado. CherryArts produces the Cherry Creek Arts Festival and Stanley Arts Festival, these immersive art events create large-scale cultural engagement connecting thousands of visitors to art. Under Tara’s leadership, CherryArts has launched and grown arts education programming as components in existing events and stand-alone opportunities year-round. Through innovative mobile arts education programs, CherryArts works to ensure that all have access to arts and culture. Programs like the Mobile Art Gallery, Student Art Buying and Mobile Art Cart bring experiences into schools impacting over students annually. Tara has been at the forefront of the development and implementation of many of CherryArts’ successful programs and events including the Stanley Arts Festival, the Telluride Festival of the Arts, Cherry Creek North Food & Wine, Cowparade Denver and working with the Western States Arts Federation on the Zapplication system which has revolutionized the way artists apply for art shows. Tara currently serves as the co-chair for the board of directors of the Collaborative of the SCFD.
