ABOUT TAPIWA LAPIDOS
My lived experience in an absolute monarchy has shaped my passion for representation, government, democracy, resource allocation and advocacy through law, public policy and public administration. I am a highly motivated, adaptable, and passionate individual with a strong work ethic, as demonstrated throughout academic and professional life. Over the years, I have assumed numerous leadership positions, including serving as a Student Government Senator and DEI Committee Representative. Additionally, I have worked in various organizations dealing with areas of policy, one example was working with the UNDP in South Africa, as a Program Coordinating Assistant. During this role, I actively contributed to the successful execution of the \"Parliamentary Forum on Gender and Sexual Minorities in Southern Africa.\" Through this experience, I honed my skills in program management, effective communication, community outreach, managing large groups, and understanding public policy. Furthermore, my academic pursuits, including a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science & Government with a minor in Legal Studies from Lake Forest College, have equipped me with robust research skills and comprehensive knowledge in various areas of policy and law.
