About Tapan Shah
Results-driven and goal-oriented scientist with 6+ years of experience working on molecular & biochemical assays and gene expression profiling for biomarker discovery. Creative thinker and an excellent team player who strives for a collaborative environment. Loss of closed ones to deadly diseases such as cancer has been my biggest motivation to pursue scientific research and have a tangible impact on people’s lives.Combined with strong scientific skills, I have excellent interpersonal skills demonstrated by the ability to dynamically interact with a variety of audiences (5 scientific publications and 15+ oral and poster presentations at the National and International level). I enjoy working in a fast-paced environment evident from my aptitude to work with a high degree of flexibility and under tight deadlines for several projects.Scientific Specialties:Gene regulation, Biomarker discovery, Pre-clinical mouse models, Assay development, RNA in situ hybridization and IHC/IF, Lab Automation (Liquid handlers), Digital Image Analysis (HALO), RT-PCR, Next Generation Sequencing, Microarray, Western Blotting, Cell-culture, and Cardiovascular and Aging pathologies.Outside my professional life, I am passionate about cricket (team sport) and take an active part playing the game as well as being a part of the NCCA (Cricket Association) as a Secretary.
