About Tao Jensen
I’ve always been drawn to the way structure governs movement—whether in a legal system, a novel, a market, or even on a tennis court. I’m a junior at Waterford School with a long-term interest in becoming a lawyer, focusing on Mergers and Acquisitions. That path is shaped by my deep passion for both economics and literature—two disciplines that, in different ways, ask how we make sense of the world. I’m especially fascinated by macro-level systems and the decisions that influence global outcomes, as well as how language holds power, tells truth, and shapes culture. I’m currently working on my first book, and writing has always been more than a hobby—it’s been a way of thinking. That mix of logic and expression runs through everything I do. I’ve trained in ballet and dance since I was little, express music through the violin, and spend afternoons competing on the tennis court. They’re different worlds, but they’ve taught me to approach life with precision, curiosity, and drive.
