As Assistant Professor, I teach several business classes including Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship, Introduction to Business, Business Plan Development, Managing the Small Business, Business Communications, Personal Finance, and Marketing.I mentor students on new business development, and guide students through the process of idea generation and evaluation, conducting feasibility and impact analyses, creating business model canvases, writing business plans, elevator pitches and pitch-decks for new startups and also small businesses. I also counsel existing student-business owners on growth and other strategies and pair them with resources such as free legal consultations, SBDC meetings, developer or coder support, branding and design support, assistance building a team, writing a grant, creating a crowdfunding campaign, or competing.I highly value inter-campus and inter-district collaboration and every semester I hold workshops and other events for students and alumni in different majors from across the district including: Resume workshops for Fire Technology, Automotive, and Aviation students, Business and Entrepreneurship workshops for Child Development students, and Entrepreneurship Guest Lectures for students, alumni, faculty, and staff from across the district.
