Hi there My name is Tanya, a Psychology B.A. graduate and Phlebotomy Technician passionate about patient care and medicine.I decided to pursue psychology after taking a class in high school and wanting to help people better their mental health. I believe taking care of your mental health is essential, and everyone should have access to resources and counselors to support their mental health 🧠As someone living with Type 1 Diabetes, I have first-hand experience managing a chronic illness, and I know how crucial it is to receive support and care from medical professionals. My personal experiences have motivated me to pursue a career in medicine so that I can provide the same level of empathy and care to others🩺Outside of academics and clinical experience, I enjoy going on walks with my dogs 🦺, creating ceramic pieces 🪴, and working on my car
