ABOUT TANYA TYMKIV
With over 25 years of experience as an educator, system leader, and innovator, I continue to collaborate and co-lead transformative initiatives in school districts— Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board (HWDSB) and Peel District School Board (PDSB). My work experience spans K-12 with a focus on equity, innovation and accountability in education, with our students at the center of decision making. I also work closely on projects that include Ministry of Education, the Ontario Principals’ Council, and other stakeholder organizations, reflecting a deep commitment to collaborative leadership, student success, and system-wide improvement. I am committed to creating vibrant, inclusive learning environments that nurture creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving. Grounded in culturally responsive practices, I work to empower students, educators, families and leaders with the confidence and skills to thrive in an ever-changing world.
