Provide comprehensive HR support to two nonprofit, faith-based, unionized teaching hospitals with a combined workforce of 3,500 employees, offering specialized services including cardiology, vascular, oncology, orthopedics, rehabilitation, women’s and children’s health, emergency medicine, general surgery, gastrointestinal care, and wound management.• Serve as a senior HR advisor in a complex unionized environment, ensuring HR strategies align with organizational objectives, collective bargaining agreements, Joint Commission standards, CDPH regulations, and other relevant agencies.• Lead employee relations activities, including disciplinary actions, performance interventions, grievance resolution, terminations, and conflict mediation.• Conduct and lead employee investigations, providing thorough assessments and recommending appropriate outcomes and corrective actions.• Act as the primary HR liaison to the senior executive team of assigned entities, overseeing all HR functions and service delivery.• Contribute to organizational growth by actively participating in the Professional Nursing Council and Manager Peer Group, shaping labor and talent strategies.• Interpret and enforce HR policies, collective bargaining agreements (CBA) labor laws, and internal standards; collaborate on policy development and updates to ensure compliance and relevance.• Provide strategic guidance to leadership on complex policy matters, employment law, performance management, and employee relations to mitigate risks and promote consistency.• Coordinate system-wide HR services, including payroll, compensation, benefits, employee health (leave management, workers’ compensation, pre-employment screening), talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, and training.• Demonstrate strong productivity, reliability, and attention to detail in daily operations, consistently meeting deadlines and contributing to team efficiency.
