About Tanya Naveen
Hello! I’m Tanya, and I\'m a senior at the University of Washington studying Computer Science, Math, and Neural Engineering. I get excited about solving interdisciplinary problems and building tools that bridge theory with real-world applications in medicine, education, computational science, and beyond! I\'m driven by constant curiosity, and I find a lot of joy in translating elegant theoretical concepts into practical and meaningful applications. From working on ML and computational neuroscience research in the Golub Lab at UW, to exploring how algebraic geometry algorithms apply to integer programming, and to building a software tool to help students learn music, I\'ve gained a deep appreciation for the ways in which technology and mathematical theory can be woven together to advance research and build tools with real-world impact. I also find joy in the various communities I\'m involved with around campus - whether that is playing violin in chamber ensembles and the campus orchestra, serving as a mentor in the Allen School\'s largest RSO, or serving as a leader in the Reformed University Fellowship.
