ABOUT TANYA KHOKHAR

Hello! I’m a multilingual advocate, grantmaker, and strategist with 15+ years of experience across philanthropy and civil society working to advance gender and racial justice. I specialize in designing bold, gender-transformative programs and building meaningful partnerships with diverse stakeholders—from grassroots groups to global funders. With a strong background in gender-based violence, economic justice, reproductive rights, and feminist leadership, I bring both technical know-how and deep commitment to community-led change. I thrive on collaborative strategy, creative problem-solving, and strengthening organizations to push for equity. My journey has taken me across Asia, Africa, Central America, and the U.S—and I bring that global perspective to everything I do. Through this work, I have been lucky enough to experience and learn from feminist movements and grassroots organizations across regions gaining insights that continue to shape my practice. Fluent in English, Spanish, and Urdu, and always energized by women human rights defenders from the Global South.
