As part of the SMUSA Service Centre team, I’m proud to work at the main hub for SMUSA services, where I help promote and sell tickets for a variety of student events. I assist with bus pass distribution, answer inquiries, and provide key information to students and visitors. I also manage sales of everyday essentials like stamps, envelopes, and transit passes. A big part of my role involves supporting student societies by offering free photocopying services and maintaining society mailboxes. I also help coordinate Husky Patrol, our campus safe ride program that runs Sunday through Friday nights. It’s a rewarding role that keeps me engaged with student life and the campus community.

ABOUT TANYA GWESE
Tanya Gwese is a community-driven Bachelor of Commerce student at Saint Mary’s University. She served as the External Vice President for the Black Students\' Society from 2023 to 2025, where she focused on advocacy and bringing students together through engaging social events. She also continues to support prospective and current students as a BComm Student Ambassador.Now in her current role as Welcome and Student Life Coordinator, Tanya is passionate about creating positive experiences and building a tight-knit, welcoming campus community where every student feels at home.Her goal is to excel in every role she takes on, no matter the size.
