ABOUT TANVI TENDOLKAR
Hello, I have completed a Masters of Science in Human Systems Engineering. Through my time in college, I was able to acquire and hone different skills through different jobs. After interning as a Systems engineer for Abbott working on their heart pump and working for multiple research labs focusing on human machine teaming during my Master’s, I joined Abbott full time to work as a Human Factor Engineer in their Heart Failure division. Through this was exposed to different types of cardiac therapies and learned a lot of about FDA submissions as it pertains to the Human Factors function. I briefly worked in Abbott Vascular doing similar work and ultimately ended up switching back to Heart Failure where I advanced my career. I currently work as a Sr. Human Factors Engineer at Illumina. Illumina has given me the opportunity to grow more leadership skills, become an expert in my field, contribute to furthering genome sequencing technology, and help improve human health by unlocking the power of the genome. My goal has and will always be to make technology, especially medical technology, safer and more intuitive for the user.
