ABOUT TANNER MCNABB

I am a Chartered Professional Accountant, an entrepreneur, a father of two incredible children, and a lover of all things bike & board related. Always curious and asking the question behind the question, I am passionate about continuous progression in all aspects of my life, be it process improvements at work, personal goals in my activities, or betterments to my work-life balance and my family life. Three times in my career, I have been the top accounting/finance position and only CPA in the organization, and for two of these I was the very first in-house CPA. These experiences have allowed me to demonstrate the value that an in-house CPA brings to an organization, showing how accurate accounting entries & efficient processes lead to more informative reporting, more accurate budgeting, and better strategic decision making, among many other benefits. I am passionate about helping small- and medium-sized organizations realize their full potential, as all too often the accounting/finance function is overlooked as a place to make impactful improvements. I hope to change that. I have a varied background that enables me to effectively communicate and work with people in all walks of life. I have years of experience in the construction & hospitality industries, international work/education/travel experiences, and over 12 years of professional accounting in both industry and public practice roles, including 4 years in a Big 4 firm. My goals are to have a unique life and career, work with interesting organizations and passionate people, be the best family man I can be, and push the boundaries of my professional and personal life.
