About Tanner Eggert
I am a Consultant at Kx Advisors, a boutique life sciences consulting firm, headquartered in Washington, D.C. I recently completed my Ph.D. in chemistry at Princeton University, focusing on RNA chemical biology. I worked on a platform for targeted RNA editing using deaminase enzymes fused to chemically stabilized oligonucleotides. I also studied post-transcriptional RNA modifications and the enzymes that are responsible for their regulation.During graduate school, I was fortunate enough to aid in the launch and fundraising of an environmental technology company called PolyGone Systems, which develops microplastic sequestration technology for aquatic systems and environments.Prior to graduate school, I completed my B.S. in biochemistry with a minor in mathematics from Northeastern University in Boston. During my undergraduate work, I completed a 6-month internship at Moderna Therapeutics, working on mRNA therapies, and another internship at Warp Drive Bio, working on KRAS inhibition. I also conducted academic research in reproductive stem cell biology and computational chemistry.
