My earlier experience as a Management Associate allowed me to rotate through key departments across both urban and rural Alaska, gaining a comprehensive understanding of branch operations, credit analysis, and lending. That training gave me a hands-on perspective of how each department contributes to the bank’s overall mission and shaped my ongoing goal to become a “Swiss Army knife” within the organization while being versatile, collaborative, and ready to serve wherever needed.My academic foundation in Finance and Economics from Calvin University, where I was part of the Knight Investment Management Team overseeing a $2.8 million endowment fund, strengthened my analytical and strategic thinking skills. I’m currently pursuing my MBA at the University of Alaska Fairbanks while completing coursework through the American Bankers Association to expand my expertise in lending, compliance, and financial management.As a former collegiate hockey student-athlete and team captain, I’ve learned the value of leadership, communication, and resilience, qualities I bring to every professional interaction.
