The Centre for Advanced Studies in Cyber Law and Artificial Intelligence (CASCA) is a student-led research initiative that examines the legal, ethical, and policy challenges at the intersection of technology and law. Our focus areas include algorithmic governance, data protection, surveillance, and platform regulation, approached through constitutional and rights-based frameworks. We aim to foster informed student engagement on how emerging technologies shape democratic processes and individual freedoms.I lead CASCA’s research direction and external engagement. This includes coordinating policy submissions to the Meta Oversight Board, UN Special Rapporteurs, and the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), as well as preparing responses to Indian government consultations on tech-related legislation. I also oversee student publications, guide collaborative research projects, and organise events to build academic discourse around cyber law and AI within and beyond the university.
