ABOUT TANIYA HUSSAIN
My path into public policy wasn\'t linear and I think that\'s what makes my perspective on governance different.I began as a mechanical engineer, trained to approach complex systems with precision and evidence. That thinking followed me through five years of UPSC preparation, where I built a deep, structured understanding of India\'s policy landscape, constitutional governance, and public administration shaping how I read policy, not just implement it.During that period, I channelled that knowledge into action through Volunteer For India, where I coordinated volunteers across multi-state civic initiatives, built reporting frameworks to track participation at scale, and translated field-level data into insights that connected grassroots realities with policy objectives — the link most governance efforts miss.I\'m now a Mentor intern at the Ministry of Culture, working at the intersection of government and evidence-based policy. My interests span public policy research, development communication, sustainability governance, and social sector policy — spaces where data, people, and institutions must work together to produce outcomes that last.I bring quantitative analysis, program monitoring, stakeholder coordination, and policy communication into one coherent approach and I\'m looking for roles where this combination can create real institutional impact.Open to connecting if you\'re working on something at that intersection.
