ABOUT TANISHKA MEHRA
Tanishka Mehra is a penultimate year law student at the University of Nottingham, aspiring to be a Barrister with a strong interest in Family, Criminal and Commercial Law. Tanishka is a member of the University of Nottingham Bar Society and Mooting Society, where she is the EDI and Welfare Officer for the 25/26 academic year. Tanishka has also been a member of the Pro Bono Society, where she volunteered for the Howard League. She is also a writer for Nottingham Advocacy Magazine, where she writes and reports on current legal and social issues. Tanishka has a strong focus on building her advocacy skills and has participated in three mooting competitions (contract and tort and criminal), where she received and implemented the feedback given. Tanishka has completed a mini-pupillage with 39 Essex Chambers, where she shadowed a Barrister during a substantive judicial review hearing against the Secretary of State. She has also completed an Insight Afternoon at The Honourable Society of the Inner Temple. Tanishka also has a strong interest in badminton, musical pursuits (piano, singing and flute and Lamda, where she passed her Grade 7 with a distinction.
