ABOUT TANISHKA M.
From starting my own NGO, Earth Guardians Japan, at age 16, to publishing my very first book before turning 17, my passion and enthusiasm when it comes to activism, writing, and community engagement has been consistent and ever growing. Through my Economics, Politics, and Social Thought program at Bard College Berlin, Public Policy Fellowship with Salzburg Global, professional experience in the fields of Journalism as well as founding EJAAD Berlin, a Berlin branch of a female empowerment organization in Afghanistan, I have strengthened my critical thinking, intercultural communication, project management, and research skills. By incorporating my linguistic abilities and cultural understanding I have developed through my Indian and Japanese background, as well as living in Germany, I create more bridges between communities and create spaces for underrepresented groups to amplify their voices.
